The host team will start their journey at home on October 8 against five time champions Australia. The big clash of the big event will take place on October 15 between Pakistan v India.

This world cricket event will kick off on Thursday 05 October and the opening match between England v New Zealand. That will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India. The Final will take place on Sunday 19, November 2023.

How Many Teams Will Participate In The 13th Edition Of The Cricket World Cup

A total of 10 teams will participate in the 13th edition of the cricket world cup. The eight teams already qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League.

The remaining two teams will come from the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 qualifiers which continue in Zimbabwe. The winner of the qualifiers event and runner up will both join as a ninth and tenth team.

What is the Tournament Format?

Each team will play with the other nine teams in the round-robin format. The top four teams will qualify for the knockout stage where two semi-finals will take place.

First Semi-Final: The first semi-final match will take place on Wednesday 15 November at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India.

Second Semi-Final: The second semi-final match will take place on Thursday 16 November at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, India.

ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 India Final: The Final match will take place on Sunday 19 November at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India.
