How did teams reach this stage?

Eight teams earned their place in the Qualifier through grueling regional competitions:

Asia: Thailand and UAE
Europe: Netherlands and Scotland
Africa: Uganda and Zimbabwe
Americas: USA
East Asia-Pacific: Vanuatu

Sri Lanka and Ireland, who missed automatic qualification for the 2024 World Cup, will also fight for their spot.

What is the format?

  • Teams are divided into two groups (A and B) of five.
  • Each team plays all others in their group once.
  • The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals.
  • Semi-final winners secure ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 spots and progress to the tournament final.

Two Abu Dhabi venues will host the exciting ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier matches:

Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium

Both venues will see a mix of day and night games during the Group Stage, ensuring 20 matches are played within five thrilling matchdays.

The Zayed Cricket Stadium will host the high-stakes semi-finals and the grand final on May 7th.
