For the first time, a new host USA will host the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 with co-host West Indies. This edition will differ from the last T20 World Cup 2021 because its format will change.
Who Will Host
USA and West Indies both officially will host the next T20 world cup 2024. The complete schedule has not release yet.
The New T20 World Cup Format
According to the new format, 20 teams will participate in two phases before the knockout games. In this format, there will be four groups and each group has 5 teams.
The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the super eight phases. In the super eight-phase, all teams will divided in 2 groups.
Now the top two teams from each group will go for the semi-finals.
How 20 teams qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024
The two hosts USA and West Indies are both already qualified as a host. Other top 8 teams in the 2022 T20 World Cup edition already qualified for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The remaining 8 teams will be decided through regional qualification.

In this world cup edition, the remaining eight teams will be decided by a regional qualifier other than the global qualifiers.
Africa, Asia, and Europe have two spots for qualification, even with one spot for both the Americas and East-Asia Pacific regions.
