The Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) recently announced the India Women’s Cricket team lineups for the forthcoming One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Australia.

The teams for both formats will be captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana serving as the vice-captain. During their previous campaign in limited-overs cricket, the Indian team experienced a challenging 2-1 defeat in the T20I series against England.

Following that period, the Indian Women’s Cricket Team significantly improved their performance, achieving consecutive victories in Test matches against England and Australia.

Key players including Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Renuka Singh, and Pooja Vastrakar are integral to the team’s structure. The Indian squad also features two wicketkeepers, Yastika Bhatia and the recently debuted Richa Ghosh, who made a notable impression at her first match in Wankhede.

The series begins with the One-Day International (ODI) match at Wankhede Stadium on December 28th. This venue will host all three ODIs. The T20 International series is scheduled from January 5th to 9th, 2024, at the DY Patil Stadium.
