Former Pakistan leg-spinning legend and World Cup champion, Mushtaq Ahmed, embarks on a new journey as the newly appointed Bangladesh spin bowling coach.

He’ll join the team in their upcoming preparation camp for the T20 series against Zimbabwe, extending his support throughout the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 held in the West Indies and USA.

The 53-year-old brings a wealth of international experience, having coached spinners for England (2008-2014), West Indies (2018-2019), and Pakistan (2020-2022). He also served as Pakistan’s bowling consultant from 2014-2016.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Mushtaq Ahmed stated, “Being a part of the Bangladesh spin bowling coaching team is a huge honor. I’m eager to share my knowledge with such a receptive group of players.

Bangladesh is a formidable team with boundless potential – they have the skills, talent, and drive to challenge any opponent. My goal is to further instill that winning belief, and I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead.”
