Faisalabad prepares to host the exciting, rebranded National Women’s One-Day Tournament, kicking off this Wednesday.
This expanded tournament reflects the Pakistan Cricket Board’s commitment to elevate women’s cricket. What was once a three-team competition is now a six-regional showdown.
This year, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, and Rawalpindi will compete in a double-league 50-over format.
How Many Matches Will Play Each Team?
With at least 10 matches guaranteed for each team, the competition promises high-energy action. The total prize money of PKR 2.245 million further adds to the stakes.
The top two teams after the 30 league matches will advance to the finals on May 11th. The champion will walk away with the trophy and a PKR one million cheque.
Matches will take place at Jawad Club Cricket Ground, Iqbal Stadium, and Bohranwali Cricket Ground, with Saeed Ajmal Academy Ground ready as a reserve venue.
