Get ready for thrilling cricket action as Australia announces its schedule for an unforgettable home summer. The highlight is undoubtedly the highly-anticipated five-match Test series against powerhouses India.
Home Summer Schedule
The summer kicks off with Pakistan’s visit for six exciting white-ball matches, but the main event begins on November 22nd in Perth. India and Australia will clash in a historic five-Test series, a format not seen in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy since 1991/92. Both nations are hungry to secure their position in the ICC World Test Championship final.
India, the current Border-Gavaskar trophy holders, have a winning streak on Australian soil. But Australia won’t go down without a fight, especially after their recent World Test Championship victory. Cricket Australia CEO, Nick Hockley, promises a fiercely competitive summer filled with unforgettable moments.
“This summer promises some of the most thrilling cricket in recent years,” says Hockley. “The extended Border-Gavaskar Trophy series and the Women’s Ashes will captivate fans worldwide. We’re expecting packed stadiums and electric atmospheres throughout!”
Adding to the excitement, India’s women’s team will also tour Australia, facing off in three ODIs this December. And before the men’s Test showdown, Australia’s women will challenge New Zealand in three ODIs and India for another three.
To cap off this incredible season, the Women’s Ashes will include a historic day-night Test match at the iconic MCG.
